Q-Systems Engineering LLC releases Ver. 1.0.9.0 of Geotech Master™
Geotech Master™ adds the ability to read raw CPT data (tip resistance, water pressure, u2, and side friction), as provided by the logger, and autogenerate soil layering with geotechnical properties.
Geotech Master™ adds, in the analysis of bearing capacity of footings, the ability to design foundations based on Max Allowed Pressure. This is useful, when the geotechnical investigation does not appear very reliable, and the Geotechnical Engineer chooses to use the presumptive values provided by IBC.
Small operational nuances have been addressed to improve performance and the user interaction.
New and exciting additions to Geotech Master™ are coming up soon. Please visit this page often to follow the software development.
Geotech Master™ adds in the analysis of spread footings the ability to have eccentricity and load inclination in both directions (short and long).
Geotech Master™ adds in the analysis of lateral loads of drilled shafts and piers the ability to design based on maximum deflection (the previous versions allowed design based only on maximum transverse load and moment at the top).

Q-Systems Engineering LLC releases Ver. 1.0.8.0 of Geotech Master™
Geotech Master™ adds the analysis of the stability of slopes using the Modified Bishop method (also known as Simplified Bishop). The User can define the geometry of the slope, use the existing soil profile for excavated slopes, and add new material properties for fills, such as embankments that are placed on top of the existing soil profile. The abilities to define a phreatic surface, add surface loads, as well as seismic loads, are also included.

Q-Systems Engineering LLC releases Ver. 1.0.7.2 of Geotech Master™
Geotech Master™ can now produce structural designs of shallow foundations, based on ACI 318-11, ACI 318-14, Eurocode 2 (UK Annex) . Additional code compliances are forthcoming.
Minor fixes.

Q-Systems Engineering LLC releases Ver. 1.0.6.4 of Geotech Master™
Geotech Master™ can now work internationally, as it automatically adjusts its proper decimal point definition.
Other changes include minor fixes, and addition of an electronic copy of the User's Manual

Q-Systems Engineering LLC releases Ver. 1.0.6.3 of Geotech Master™
Geotech Master™ can now design sheet pile walls retaining soil and surface loads. The user defines the geometry of a sheet pile wall, defines surface loads, selects a standard or custom sheet pile section, and examines the stability of the selected wall. If stability cannot be satisfied, or if the deformations are excessive, the user can select anchors and request a revised anchored sheet pile wall design that meets used defined deflection criteria.
Other notable changes include minor fixes and improved support of the Metric System.

Q-Systems Engineering LLC releases Geotech Master™
Geotech Master™ is a software tool to help you develop reliable Geotechnical Reports and evaluate the geotechnical recommendations of others.
Geotech Master™ receives as input the basic information produced by a common borehole, such as soil type and Standard Penetration Test (SPT) blow counts. It also receives the results of basic soil index testing, such as soil classification, water contents, and Atterberg limits. Cone Penetrometer Test (CPT) data can be provided if available.
Geotech Master™ produces output which includes
soil strength, and stiffness,
shallow foundation bearing capacity and settlement,
pile and pile group load capacity and deformations due to axial and transverse loads;
soil swell potential, minimum required foundation pressure to avoid excessive swell, and minimum pile length to resist pile heave;
design of flexible pile walls with and without anchors.
It is that simple, and it can be generated in just a few minutes.
The cost of Geotech Master™ is $450.00 per year per software license or $550.00 per USB dongle license. Purchasing a license entitles you to free revisions, updates, and upgrades of the software until the day your license expires.
